About Cool Country Hats in Wanniassa
Bob Dyer started "Cool Country Hats" in 1997 following his early retirement from the ANZ Bank after 35 years service. Ironically, Bobs very first job was as a salesman in the hat department of Gowings, the iconic Sydney mens store. Bobs first products were "Washable Squashable" hats, sold at country shows and field days.
Over the years the business has expanded and now covers a wide variety of products including clothing, workwear, promotional products and NZ possum fur garments*. Hence our slogan: "Not Just Hats".
You can meet Bob in Canberra, where he mans the "Cool Country Hats" stall every Sunday at the Bus Depot Markets in Kingston. *possums are not native to New Zealand and are pests, competing with native fauna.
